I Made It!
This week we had a history themed day camp at work. I am so incredibly exhausted, but we made it. It’s over! I think I might have enjoyed it more if I weren’t in charge of it, but I still managed to have fun. Overall, the kids were great; however, I do have to say that home schooled kids are strange. Why do people do that to their kids?
We have a new exhibit, “A Victorian Mourning”, opening in the house on July 1st, so I stayed a little late and helped Lydia put clothing onto mannequins. We have some 19th century mourning clothes on loan and they are really cool. The owner claims that one of the dresses was worn to President Lincoln’s memorial service. The clothes are in pristine condition, so it was fun to help out; although, I was feeling a little loopy and insisted on wearing a hoop skirt while we worked:

Y’all should come and check out the exhibit. It’s really cool and a little creepy. I’ll hook you up with a free visit.
I had great plans of going to see Jucifer last night, but I sat down after I got home and just couldn’t muster up the energy, so I watched the Match Game instead. Thank you Game Show Network (and Netflix) for bringing it back into my life. Will they ever capture the magic of the Match Game again? It should go without saying that Charles Nelson Reilley is my favorite, but I’m loving Betty White at the moment. The disk also contained three shows which included Kirstie Alley as a contestant; apparently she won big money on the star studded Match Game before she was famous. In the getting to know you portion of the show she claims to be an interior designer from Wichita, Kansas. Who knew? I might also add, that Gene Rayburn was totally taken with her, as was that guy from Chips (not "Ponch" or Jon, but the Sgt.) who was on the celebrity panel.
