I really wish that I was more technologically inclined. I've been trying to scan and e-mail pictures, but without much success.

Monday was my roommate's 30th birthday. We went out to dinner with friends. Afterwards we played ATARI and ate cake. I'm all about birthday cake now that I have a rotating cake plate that plays "Happy Birthday". It's totally fresh.

Courtney, the game Breakout involves bouncing a ball off a bar that you can move from side to side. When the ball hits the wall above pieces of it disappear. The object is to eventually breakout, or break through the wall. It's very old school. My friends and I were thinking it would be fun to have a Breakout Tournament. Our primary objective is to make the T-shirts. I guess we could just make the T-shirts and forget the tournament. Well, I must go and pick up my friend Samara for sushi. I haven't had a Santa Barbara Roll in over a month and I'm go through withdrawl. Later.

So, I just got back into SB after an extended trip to Georgia (with brief stops in San Diego and Hawaii). It's good to be back. I particularly enjoyed feeling cool air that wasn't artificially created.

Here's the weird thing. I just had one of those heart to heart bonding moments with my roommate, the first we've had since we've been living together, but it was totally surreal. We were playing my recently aquired Atari 2600, Breakout to be specific (on a side note I was dissapointed to find out that this game had nothing to do with break dancing) and the floodgates just openned. My roommate is a boy. Is this some bizarre male bonding ritual? And people say that video games are isolating. Ha.
