FINALLY!!
I've had the worst time trying to Blog, and now no one will read because they think that I never blog. Life is so unfair. How the hell is everyone? I can hardly find time for the basics (eating, sleeping, bathing) so blogging has unfortunately suffered as well. At the moment I am sitting in a computer lab (unfortunately it's a mac lab) holding my office hours.
Susan - congrats on the job, I had no idea. I'm so happy for you.
Chip, I may get to hang out with your good buddy Joey Slotnick (sp?) this weekend. Samara will be for sure.
Work:
I'm TAing for this horrible class were we have to do SAS programming, for those of you who don't know the lingo, it's a statistical program. It really sux. Otherwise I'm really busy with the Seminar that I'm taking on Race, Ethnicity and Nation with this really famous guy. He actually seems pretty cool so far, but he is very demanding. We have to write weekly papers, turn in a rough draft of a final paper week 6, a final paper week 10 and do a formal presentation of our work. So far it has been challenging, but in a good way. However, this week I had to deal with SAS, grading, and I stupidly agreed to do workshops for my other job. I have to learn how to say no!
Play:
I of course, have still found some time to play. A couple of weekends ago I went to San Francisco to hand out a friend in Berkeley. It was lots of fun. I also got to have dinner with my cousin Ross, who I have decided, would be a great candidate for the Bachelor--I don't necessarily see this as a compliment. Next week I'm flying to Jacksonville, FL to see my friend Krista and attend the GA/FL game. GO Dawgs! The following weekend will be my birthday, so I'm having a party and then I go to Houston to present a paper at the American Studies Association annual meeting, I guess that is technically work, but my friend Samara is coming with me, so there will be some playing involved.
I did have a really great Monkey quote from a book about race, but I'll have to save that for later.
