I'm confused
Are people angry about the Kathleen Blee book? She worte another book, Women in the Klan, which is quite good. I guess I have to read it now, because I'm finding the same thing (kind of). I know people get a little weird about so-called "whitness studies", but I personally think it's important. However, I am a bit biased because the work that I am doing would fall into this category. I guess I should read the NYT article to figure out what the big deal is. Who called from Jane magazine?
I wanted to clear up a little confusion about Buffy dreams. There is no way in a million years that I would consider that to be lame. If anything, I'm extremely jealous. I want to have Buffy/Angel dreams!
For once, I don't feel inclined to defend Buffy, I actually was not into this past episode at all. However, I was slightly swayed by Stephanie W.'s connection between this episode and the first season. It could be that I just don't like "stand alone" episodes. It just seemed corny somehow and what was up with the Spike and Buffy sex scene? I guess that was supposed to contain some foreshadowing, but I thought it was weird! One final thought on TV. In general, I am not the biggest Joey (Dawson's Creek for those of you who don't watch) fan, but I am so stoked about the affair with the teacher. Go Joey! I also decided that I am very pro-Jen and Dawson. I think it's the fact that their relationship seems relatively angst free ( at least for now). However, if I really want angst free relationships, I'm most likely watching the wrong show! Oh, and I also LOVE Audrey (it doesn't hurt that she was on Freaks and Geeks)!
