My So-Called Graduate School Life:

I can't believe how much time goes by between my blogs, it certainly doesn't seem like that long. I'm into the grading phase of the end of my quarter and so far it's going rather smoothly (knock on wood). The only real set back of finals week was a pretty bad case of poison oak. I've never had a reaction to that stuff in my entire life. I went on a hike this past weekend, and I woke up Wednesday morning with a rash all over my face, by Thursday morning it had spread. I immediately went to health services and got some medicine (sadly, not Valium). The only drawback is insomnia, hence the 2:00 am blog.

I saw "The Wonder Boys" tonight. I think that I really liked it, but I'm still processing. I truly do not like Michael Douglas, but I liked him in this movie. It sort of reminded me of "The Big Lebowski," although it's not nearly as funny. I can't quite put my finger on it. Anyway, I'd love to hear what other people think.

Okay, I might as well take advantage of not being able to sleep and get some grading done. 10 down, 42 to go roughly 504 pages. Luckily, I don't really have to put comments on them.
