I don't blog for a while and all hell breaks lose. Okay, not really, but it seems as though my Sister (Tina for those of you not in the know) is on a bit of a bender for her birthday. More power to ya Sis! Speaking of Teener, she's coming to visit me next weekend. This will be my first official visit from anyone in the year and a half that I've been living in Santa Barbara. Now I finally get to do all of the tourist stuff that I've been putting off. I'm thinking Heart Castle for sure - I watched "Citizen Kane" this weekend in order to prepare. Oh and get this there's a Dutch version of Helen, GA nearby, we might just have to see how it truly compares to our little Bavarian wonder. However, I should add that while Solvang has become a bit of a tourist trap it was indeed settled by Danes, but do they have funnel cakes, The Ye Olde Candle Shoppe and This Christmas Shoppe -- I think not.
