Late adopter...

So a lot of my research is about the adoption of innovations (I'll spare y'all the details), but with the regard to the iPhone, I suppose I qualify as a late adopter but hopefully not totally a laggard. Between the travel thing & the 82 hours it takes for my laptop takes to boot-up so I can check my freakin' calendar, I had to admit my life was getting slightly out of control.

Also: Yay! for new toys. I foresee many games of sudoku in my future. Also possibly Twitter, since I'm so far behind that I had to hear some lady that works for NIH tell me (well, us) that we, as scientists, should be getting on the Twitter. And the Facebook. And Wikis. I'm not exactly clear when we're supposed to do our actual science, but oh well.

My other reaction thus far, is why do people still use the Blackberry?

In other news, in no particular order:

1. I dug Caprica, which my honey picked up at Target the other day. Bummed to have to wait til 2010 for it to really start, but I liked the pilot.

2. I'm in the midst of trying to refinance my house, which makes my stomach quesy like all the time. God, I hope it works.

3. Had a really quick trip to Athens last week for the Boy Ball festivities. Will hopefully post pictures soon. This week I'm mostly just trying to detox...

4. The weather is supposed to be gorgeous this weekend, so I'm going to try to plant my garden. A couple of weeks ago, there were a bunch of folks selling plants at the Farmer's Market, so I'm headed there tomorrow to see what I can track down. Definitely tomatoes and bell peppers. I'd love to find a pattypan squash plant, but I dunno. Potentially a cucumber plant.

5. Also, just need to say: Farmer's Market, whooooooooooooooo!!!! I'm so glad that spring is finally here. In just a few weeks, I get my first CSA box for the year. Yip yip!

You're lightyears ahead of me! I am hoping Doug and I can get iPhones when I move to Atlanta, because I will need the internet's help to find my way around, locate businesses, find alternate routes when there's a wreck on 285, etc. Keep us posted on how yours works out. Sounds like fun!

Good luck with the refi, and have fun with the Farmer's Market!
