I saw 89, but the sad thing is, I only remember the basic plot or details about a third of them.

Crazy, right, Patrick? I know! I think it's b/c I read so many dang scripts and see so many festival indies that I just never really get it up for the studio blockbusters. But some of those I *really* do need to see. In fact, I've never even seen Casablanca!

LOL Joni. That's awesome. I think. ;)

Oh, and see Casablanca, in it's day, it had all the makings of an "indie"...and it's not too bad either.

Plus, after you see Casablanca, you 'get' a lot of other inside/homage type stuff from other movies and TV shows.

and a newfound respect for Bogart. You know originally they almost cast Ronald Reagan to play that part.

Kiki--That's the one I felt worst about. I actually HAVE that film on DVD and haven't popped it in yet. I suck THAT much! :(

BonBon, you don't suck at all. But when I was scanning your list, Shaun was the only one that I was like OMGWTF about. Pop that sucker into yer dvd soon. I don't want to overhype it, but it's pretty rockstar.

Casablanca is a stupendous film. An incredible cast. As with most films in those days, they are about characters, relationships and story. Its not about car chases, falling off buildings and exploding helicopters. I LOVE movies from this era.....tons of them!!! (Chris....I *suspect* this is what makes you compare it to an "indie" -- because in its ... See Moreday it was actually a *blockbuster* -- they just didn't call them that -- they called them GREAT MOVIES....heee!

In modern times, "indies" are my favorite films, because they focus more on characters... and I would probably consider some of them the *best* films I've ever seen. But I think it is important to note that CASABLANCA is a classic, and is considered by many film historians as being among the greatest movies ever made

Shaun of the Dead is one of my all time favorite movies. I watch "shaun" ALMOST as much as I watch the Die Hard series. My wife hates it when either movie comes on...hahahahha. SPeaking of zombies, I just watched "Dance of the Dead." Have you seen that movie yet?

I always give a movie (or script) 'til the 2nd act to woo me. :) Otherwise, I'd never have a relationship!!!

Good grief! I've see a hundred and seventy of those movies. Wow. I think it's interesting that you seem to have a habit of watching the first two movies in a franchise, and then not continuing to the third. Except for the Scream trilogy. Awesome. The Screams changed my life when I first saw them. Rock on.

I've seen 102 of those and I usually am the one who is getting yelled at for not having seen movies (I think my saving grace is that a lot of those were kids films and I see the kids ones since I HAVE kids. But even if you DON'T have kids- you gotta see films like FINDING NEMO. So much going on in that film for adults "He says 'it's time to let go... See More!'". OY! Love. And Shrek? It's brilliant. Funnier for adults. Swear to God.
My husband and I took the AFI top 100 list and started crossing them off at one point...now the list and what's left to see only stresses us out - like our DVR list of shows piling up. Too little time!

Eric--Isn't that weird? I noticed that about me too! No idea why I don't go to the third. Very strange indeed!

Tamika--Considering you watch each movie TEN TIMES, I'd say that's a LOT of watching you're doing!!!!

Caroline--I noticed lots of kids films on the list too. :) When Quinn is in town, we see several (or THEY do. I only go sometimes). ;) I've heard I need to see "Finding Nemo." I'm sure I'd love it.... See More

Phil--Hilarious! Rigged Facebook memes! LOL LOL LOL

KiKi--Me too. :( Oh well. Not really into zombies. *shrug*
