So Unnecessary

Seriously.

couric.jpg

Why why why would this be an important edit to the original photo?

(From LA Observed: Maybe it's just me, but she looks more credible already.)

Man, this world is so effed up sometimes.

I'm with you. This is dishonest journalism. And the photo on the left is better anyway.
Stupid effin' news editors.

Crazy, no wonder we all feel like we have to be a size 0 and 8 year old girls are dieting.

Unbelievable. What is wrong with our society?

I'm soooo glad they edited that picture. It makes me take her much more seriously now.

My FAVORITE thing is Katie's quote:

"I like the first pic better because there's more of me to love!" (paraphrase)

...she said right before she went to the bathroom to stick her finger down her throat...because obviously thousands of millions of dollars, juggling a career and a family, and landing the first (solo) female nighttime news anchor post ever...

she's obviously not thin enough to instill our trust.

if i were her, and i really had nothing to do with this edit (which i doubt she did, but who knows, it might have been her idea to begin with), i kinda think she's in the perfect position to MAKE A STATEMENT as a role model for millions of young girls that THIS IS NOT COOL.

otherwise she's just part of the huge, huge problem.

gross.

Does anyone know if she's come out with an official statement about this (other than the one referenced in the linked post at LA Observed)? I'd love to see her make a big deal out of this in order to help steer some young girls away from believing they have to be skinny.

Didn't we go through this when TV Guide put Oprah's head on Ann-Margaret's body?

Sheesh!
