Yes. Comments Are Broken.
No. I don't know why.
They work, and I don't do anything to monkey with the settings and then they're broken and I go change a couple of settings and sometimes they start working, sometimes they don't.
I have no idea what is going on. Maybe Mercury is inflicting its Retrograde motion on me by getting me to spend LESS time on my blog and MORE time on anything else.
Thank you for the emails letting me know about the broken comments, as I'd never know otherwise. *sigh* Oh well... maybe we should start a second blog called "comments on bon's entries" over at blogspot. Naaaah. Mercury does go direct here in a few days. Phew!
OMG! Kiki's comments are broken too!! What is going ON!?!???

Chip, I don't know what's happening! I tried to post a comment at what WAS the newest entry before typing up this one and I got the error message above.
I changed some settings, reloaded, and still couldn't comment.
Ugh! This is so weird!

It's like the little "disable comments on older entries" thingy starts after like 12 hours or something? I just don't get it!

Comments here are weird. Sometimes they work, sometimes they don't. No method to the madness. But at least this one, and the three previous posted without incident.

Kiki, they were broken at your blog for about 20 minutes. It was so weird. Blogspot probably just had a server hiccup b/c it was the same error page on all of your "post comment" links. Bizarre!
As for my comments, I'm thinking my theory about the "old posts = no comments" rule could be it. And if that's the case, then I just have to keep making new posts every few hours so there's always one post open for comments, even if the older ones shut down.
Oh, I am so so so obsessed with blogging.
